Meet Matthew Ng (Ng Lok Him Matthew), an EdUHK alumnus whose journey tells a vibrant story of transforming legacy into innovation. A graduate in Greater China Studies, Matthew didn't just step into his father's packaging world—he reimagined it, building upon 30 years of family expertise to co-found Loktotat Limited.
While Loktotat established a solid foundation in OEM production and cross-border trade, Matthew's vision reached further. Driven to explore new frontiers in creative design and branding, he found a pivotal ally in Mr. Donny Siu, Director of EdUHK's Centre for Pre-incubation and Outreach (CPO). Leveraging Donny's extensive experience in nurturing startups from his leadership at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Matthew gained more than strategy, he accessed a powerful network and practical resources that turned his ambitions into actionable plans.
This collaboration marked a new chapter. Bolstered by CPO's support, Matthew's entrepreneurial horizons expanded significantly. He connected with a dynamic network of partners across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and beyond, unlocking fresh collaborations and opportunities. This empowerment led him to co-found LoveLabo, a cultural and creative brand celebrating "Love • Oriental • Art • Playfulness." Through partnerships with artists like local calligraphy master Au Yeung Cheong, LoveLabo showcases Matthew's flair for video production, branding, and cultural storytelling, melding artistry with enterprise.

Beyond the boardroom, Matthew is also a Krump dancer and performer, infusing rhythm and creativity into his entrepreneurial mindset. His journey exemplifies how EdUHK cultivates a new generation of leaders: culturally grounded, innovative, and bold in exploring new territories.
