Competition Overview
The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Doctoral and Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, one of the nation's most prestigious competitions of its kind, is jointly hosted by the Office of the Talent Work Leading Group of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Dongguan Municipal People's Government.
The finals will be held at the Dongguan Songshan Lake High-tech Industrial Development Zone. This competition also serves as the qualifying round for the 4th National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

Competition Tracks
Three tracks available:
- Innovation Track – for projects not yet registered in Guangdong Province
- Entrepreneurship Track – for start-ups registered in Guangdong within the last 5 years
- Challenge-Solving Track – respond to technical challenges posted by enterprises

Eligibility
Innovation Track:
- Core team (max. 3 members) must include at least 1 doctoral degree holder or postdoctoral researcher (domestic or overseas qualifications accepted)
- Project must NOT have been registered in Guangdong Province at the time of registration
- Project must possess lawful intellectual property rights
Entrepreneurship Track:
- Enterprise registered in Guangdong for less than 5 years (as of 1 June 2026)
- At least one legal representative or shareholder must be a doctoral degree holder or postdoctoral researcher
