The EDVentures Competition (formerly the Asian Universities Student Entrepreneurship and Ideation Challenge (AUSEIC)) is an inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional innovation and entrepreneurship development competition jointly organized by the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), Ajman University (AU), Ateneo De Manila University (AdMU), East China Normal University (ECNU), Galgotias University (GU) India, Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) China, King Saud University (KSU), National Institute of Education - Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NIE-NTU, Singapore), Universitas Indonesia (UI), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The objectives of EDVentures are to
 
  1. encourage students’ innovation and entrepreneurship to address Asian social and education related issues (in equity, diversity and inclusion),
  2. prepare student teams to be future innovators and entrepreneurs with global perspectives, and 
  3. lay the foundation for an Asia-wide innovation and entrepreneurship scheme for university students.

This year's EDVentures Competition invite students from EdUHK, AU, AdMU, ECNU, GU, GDUT, KSU, NIE-NTU, UI and UKM with innovative ideas that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #4, which encompasses universal and equal access to quality primary, secondary, technical/vocational and higher education; equity and inclusion; universal youth literacy and global citizenship.

EdUHK Students, Startup Teams and Their Members are welcome to join the following 2 sessions, to experience the event, gain inspiration and connect with Asian student startup founders just like you!
 
 

(I) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talks

Date: Tuesday 26 May 2026
Time: 09:00-11:45 and 13:30-16:00
Venue: D1-LP-03
    • 09:00-09:15: Welcoming and Opening Remarks by President of EdUHK, Professor John LEE and AVP(KT and Sustainability) Professor Ken YUNG
    • 09:15-11:45: Talks by Representatives from AWS, ByteDance/BytePlus, Microsoft, IBM 
    • 13:30-16:00: Talks by UBTech Robotics, Bride AI/Academy, Apple Professional Learning and Roundtable Discussions with Judges/Mentors 
 
 
(II) Final Pitches and Award Ceremony

Time:10:00-16:00

    • 10:00-14:00: Finalist Teams give Final Pitches and Q A session
    • 15:30-16:00: Awards Ceremony
